'Kitsat A 'is the first satellite to be launched by the Republic of Korea.
Placed in orbit on On 11 August 1992, its launch weight from Guiana Space Centre was 48.5kg, and it measured 35.2 X 35.6 X 67cm. The console of the University of Surrey UoSAT-5 satellite console was used.
South Korea became the 22nd country to have a satellite.
